My favorite whisky glass, the Crystal Cradle Glass, recently got broke and I have been forced to use a regular Cradle Glass — oh, the sacrifices. That all ended when a replacement Crystal Cradle Glass showed up at my door — Thanks Joe & Sandie @thelady_withthe_cradleglass!
A Very Entertaining Dram

Here is my review of that mysterious gift I got. It’s the Campfire Whiskey from Utah's High West Distillery!
On a trip to Scotland after a special dessert, the owner of High West Distillery was inspired to create this whiskey. It’s a blend of six-year old bourbon (made from a mash of 75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley), five-year old rye (made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% barley) and lightly peated eight-year old Scotch (not Islay). The blend then got a finish in heavily toasted wine barrels (French and Hungarian oak). It’s bottled at 46% ABV. I can’t wait any longer, so let’s dive into this Whiskey! I will use my Cradle Glass
I’m totally shocked this whiskey went from off-putting to adored!

As the fog hangs over the lake, so did a fog hang over my perception of this new whiskey Stranahan’s Sherry Cask Single Malt Whiskey Batch 001 from Colorado. I have waited four weeks since my initial, unfavorable dram so as to approach anew. This time I poured the dram into a Cradle and let it nap for an hour.
Today we are talking glasses - the vessel of the liquor of the gods!

Today we are talking glasses - the vessel of the liquor of the gods. My test subject was the Scotch Malt Whisky Society 46.43 “If I were a carpenter...”, a 14 year old Speyside that saw 2nd fill Oloroso Butt and sports a wonderful 58.5% ABV. A dangerously delicious sweet and spicy varnished oak and box of chocolates dram!

Whisky Glass Rumble - Another View w/ Bottle Kill of The Macallan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Edition No. 3
This sequel to the Rumble is a whisky challenge that introduces the Cradle Glass to challenge the Glencairn and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail glass. In this Macallan Edition, a Master Perfumer joined the Master Whisky Maker to blend this single malt. As I was shooting the photo, so many beautiful aromas made me want to break the park’s no alcohol consumption rule! I posted a review of this whisky earlier; this is for the glasses.
The Cradle Glass turned up the volume on Full Volume and was phenomenally better than other glasses I’ve tried to date

Highland Park Full Volume Distilled 1999 Bottled 2017— with The Cradle Glass. In the previous post, I tried out my new Cradle Glass with a new whisky where both were awesome, and so this time I decided to try out the glass with a go-to dram.
